PEG+ and CPEG now includes Paint Shop Pro 9

Port Huron, MI – August 15, 2005 – Swell Software, Inc., a world leader in providing innovative GUI solutions for embedded systems, announced today a fully licensed version of Paint Shop Pro 9 is now included with the purchase of a PEG+ or C/PEG license.

With this software, embedded developers can use Paint Shop Pro 9 to make custom shapes and illustrations, design animated graphics and build 2D and 3D surface effects. Once an image is made, developers then use it to support the PEG ImageConvert utility to convert the image file into a PEG bitmap which can be used on the intended target.

PEG+ is a completely portable, ROMable software library enabling a graphical interface to run on a huge variety of embedded targets. Make files and/or IDE dependent project files are included with each PEG+ delivery allowing the developer to easily compile the PEG+ libraries using the chosen tools. Screen drivers are included with software purchase as well as the development utilities FontCapture, ImageConvert and PEG WindowBuilder.

C/PEG is a complete graphics solution for embedded developers written entirely in ANSI C for resource-constrained embedded systems. C/PEG not only provides optimized graphics primitives, text and bitmap drawing; it also supports higher level graphic objects to give the developer a full tool set for rapid application development. C/PEG comes with a large widget set and screen drivers are included with software purchase. C/PEG also includes the development utilities FontCapture, ImageConvert and C/PEG WindowBuilder.
